North Carolina

Jared had some meetings in North Carolina and we hadn't been back with the boys in almost a year, so we loaded up the family and made the trek up to see old friends. We stayed with our former neighbors, which was so odd to see our old house and neighborhood and realize that it was no longer where we lived. So many memories and fun times as we lived there as a couple and then as a family. Our trip was short but we enjoyed the little bit of time that we got to spend with everyone!

We stopped at Chuckee Cheese to play and stretch our legs

Coleman and Carter are going to fight over this sweet girl one day!!!

Birmingham

Jared and I took a weekend trip to Birmingham (without the munchkins) to see some old friends. It was SO much fun to be back in Birmingham and to see everyone that we could!! I sure do love that city and all of the fun memories that Jared and I made there as individuals and as a couple.

We met up for lunch on Saturday with some of my best girlfriends at a local park with all of their kiddos (and more that are due next year for some of them) most of whom played soccer with me at UAB. It's hard to believe we have been friends for 11 years already!

Our wonderful friends (and hostesses) for the weekend, Bayne and Juanita.

First Haircuts!

Okay, so the boys didn't exactly need a haircut because their hair was really long...after all, it did take them almost 2 years to grow the little hair that they have now! Their hair was starting to get little "wings" in the back though, so we decided to take them to get their first hair cut at a kids salon by our house.

I was definitely the crazy mom who took a million pictures, so I'll share just a few, but the boys did GREAT!!! I had brought lollipops, so they were totally into their lollipop and the movie on tv instead of what was going on behind them. I'm sure our next hair cut will be in another two years (I want to grow their hair long), but for now it's at least cleaned up :o)

We love our shades!

Happy New Year!

What a year 2011 has been!!! It was a great year but I was definitely ready for such a roller coaster of a year to end. We had a great time celebrating New Year's Eve with some of our good friends and their little guy. We drank champagne, played with their xbox 360 (which is SO much fun), and had a slumber party. All of the boys LOVED wearing their hats and blowing (or trying to at least) their horns.

Here's to a new year and hopefully a fun and uneventful one!!

Staycation

Jared was on vacation the week of Christmas, and since the boys were finally feeling better we decided to have some fun family time and hang out in Atlanta. We went to eh Children's Museum, Centennial Park, and then to the Varsity for some chili dogs and onion rings to end a fantastic day. The boys LOVED every minute of it!

We wish you a Merry Christmas!

Whew! I feel like the month of December has FLOWN by! We had such a fun but busy month with so many wonderful memories.

The boys came down with a pretty nasty virus the week before Christmas, and wound up being on breathing treatments and tylenol for much of the holiday but they were troopers and had a blast anyway.

This was our first Christmas in our new home, and it was SO much fun to see their faces and reactions to their presents from Santa. They were beyond spoiled by our families and by Santa, but they are LOVING all of their new toys. Here are a just a few of the MANY pictures.
