Best Buds

I seriously cannot take enough pictures of all of the cute things that Coleman and Carter do during the day. They LOVE each other and are truly best buds which is the sweetest thing to watch. They constantly bring each other their sippy cups, a stuffed animal, a toy, or anything they can. We have started "time out" at our house for biting, which has worked wonders only because I think they are so sad to be away from their buddy for the 30 seconds they are there. Their "twin talk" is really starting to become apparent as they have all kinds of conversations that I'm out of the loop on, but I don't mind listening to their sweet little discussion :o) And they also LOVE to wrestle and play chase.

Here's a video of them cruising around our kitchen...and yes, Jared's home office is right underneath this...I'm sure he was not enjoying it as much as Coleman and Carter were!

Oh Christmas Tree....again...

I love a good deal, and a month or so ago I bought a Groupon for a Christmas tree, hayride, smores, and hot chocolate at a tree farm about 45 minutes away. I figured if the tree turned out to be a problem with the boys, at least we had all of the other fun things to keep as memories!

Well, We loaded the boys up on Friday morning and headed to the tree farm...ony when we got there we saw the sign that said they did not open until nooon (it was 10:30am), but they were really sweet and told us that we could still pick out a tree and they'd help load it up. So the boys chased a bunny (see video) and played with the goats and we picked out our tree and off we went...

...until our tree fell off of our car on the way home! Jared and I just looked at each other and we realized there was no way for us to get it back, so we notified the police and off drove...no tree, no hot chocolate, no hayride, no smores, but we did have a pretty funny memory.

So Sunday we headed to Home Depot and bought our 2nd Christmas tree...the boys LOVE the tree!! They want to decorate and undecorate the tree, so this year we just have lights but they loved "helping" Jared get it all ready and eating Christmas sugar cookies to celebrate.

Carter and Coleman Updates

I decided I needed to update about what each of my little friends are up to these days!

Carter is an EXPLORER...he has figured out how to open all of the child locks on our cabinets (they are not tied together with a ribbon during the day) and is forever trying to figure things out and determine how they work. He is Mr. Independent, but he is also the more Mommy attached of the two munchkins.

Carter does not walk, he runs and enjoys life to the fullest every minute of every day. You can just see the joy in his eyes and can't help but smile at his sweet smile and deep belly laugh!

Coleman is an ORGANIZER...he loves to sort spoons, pots, pans, and pretty much anything and everything he can. He LOVES puzzles and enjoys figuring out how to take something apart but quickly wants to put it back together. He also loves to blow kisses to anyone and everyone while flashing his sweet smile. Coleman is also my eater and sleeper.

He will try just about any and every food you put in front of him, though he doesn't usually care for a lot of new things after the first bite. He also sleeps until 8:30am most mornings and takes the longer nap of the two.

The boys are both really starting to talk a LOT! You don't always understand everything that they are saying, but they are nonstop babblers and understand more than I often give them credit for.

The Movies and a Magazine!

On Thursday he movie trailers for both of the movies that the boys are in came out, and they were in both of the trailers! I was beyond excited to see those sweet little faces playing ohttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifn tv, and I can't wait to see them on the big screen!!

Here is the trailer for The Three Stooges (Carter is Baby Moe on the left) The movie will be out April 13th:

Here is the trailer for What to Expect When You're Expecting that will be out May 11th (Coleman is Rob Huebel's baby in the cowprint stroller bottom left of screen...Rob's the actor that spits the apple juice in the Georgia Tech shirt below). WARNING: This clip does contain foul language at the end!!

And yesterday, a good friend of mine texted me to tell me that Carter was on page 29 of the new Entertainment Weekly Magazine! So of course we got in the car and went to every store looking for the latest issue. What an awesome experience! I can't wait to share all of this with our munchkins when they are older!

Gingerbread Houses!

For as long as I can remember, my family has always made gingerbread houses together every Christmas. We would actually make our own "village" and it would become the centerpiece on our dining room table for the month of December until the first snow, when all of the neighborhood kiddos would come over and we'd have a demolition party. So last week we continued the tradition and made gingerbread houses with our new families...the boys LOVED it! They'd eat a piece of candy, then place one on their house...the best way to decorate!

Playground

Coleman and Carter LOVE to go to the playground by our house. They are such big boys now, and they climb up the stairs and slide down the slides, play in the sandboxes, and just run around like madmen when we are there. Thank goodness it is fenced in, but I do feel like I am back on the soccer field playing zone defense when I watch these two...I make sure I can see both of them at the same time and at the perfect angle!

Christmas Time!

I love Christmas and the amazing story of how it all began. There are so many awesome programs and events this time of year that we can't possibly attend them all but we sure seem to be trying to! Here are some pictures of some fun things we have done this month so far with our munchkins...I can't wait for our family outing tomorrow to go and pick out our Christmas tree!!

Hanging ornaments on the Christmas tree in the sunroom:

We went to Christmas in Bethlehem at my parent's church last week and enjoyed seeing how the city would have been at the time of Jesus' birth. We also wath

We also attended another church's Christmas festival and petting zoo:

And I was able to go with Jared on a work trip to Nashville where we went to the Opryland Hotel to see the beautiful lights and Christmas displays.

Happy Anniversary to us!!

It's hard to imagine that Jared and I have now been married 4 years...it seems like 40! Not that we are old fogies when it comes to living an exciting life (although staying up past 10pm seems more and more difficult these days...), but to think back on all of the life experiences that we have had over the past 4 years is more than I can truly rack my head around. We've been through the good, the really good, the bad, and the really bad, and through it all I can't imagine having another person standing by my side holding my hand. We have made some pretty incredible lifelong friends and exceptional memories along the way...as well as two pretty cute little boys. We are blessed beyond measure, and I can't wait to see what year number 5 has in store for us!

Family Pictures

We took some family pictures last month that I absolutely LOVE. They were taken at a polo field on a chilly October morning, but the boys did great and I want to pretty much frame every single picture of them. Precious. Here is a slideshow of our day for you to enjoy (make sure your volume is on!).

The Commercial

Yay! The commercial is now airing on HGTV during Property Brothers. The production company sent us a link to forwarded on to friends and family, so you don't have to worry about when it will come on to see it. :o)

Note: The link does require flash, so you will have to view it from a computer, not a phone. Also, we had some trouble loading it on Mozilla firefox, but if you have internet explorer then you should be totally fine!

Let's Go Falcons!

My brother was sick this weekend and offered Jared and I his tickets (you know he's sick when he can't go to a football game!), so we decided to take Coleman and Carter along to see the Falcons play. They had not yet been to a professional game of any sort...although I did go to a game with my Dad when I was pregnant with them.

I have to admit...I was a little nervous as to how they would do but they did GREAT!! They were up and down and all around at the game, but they stayed within their little two foot radius and didn't bother anyone around them (that I know of!). Coleman loved when everyone would clap and he could join in, and especially when the music would come on after a big play...he has some serious rythm! Carter tried to reach the banner hung underneath our section and pull it up...never a dull moment with these two! They ate popcorn, clapped, and had a great time up until the 4th quarter when they decided they had both had enough. It was off to the Varsity for a yummy hotdog before heading back home. What a great family fun day!

I think it's safe to say they had a lot of fun too!
