Today was the last Sunday that we will be attending our church and we wanted to make it a special one by dedicating the boys in front of our church community and by our minister and good friend, Fred. We have been truly blessed to have found such an amazing church community that has embraced us with such warmth and where we have gained so many wonderful friends. We are truly going to miss hearing Fred's sermons each Sunday...thank goodness for podcasts!
The boys also wore an outfit today that we had bought for them to wear home from the hospital, but they turned out to be HUGE on their teeny bodies and are just now fitting into them. We decided that there wasn't a better occasion in which they should wear them as they were dedicated to the Lord and the Christian faith.

4 Month Pictures
Amongst all of the packing and busyness around here lately it was time for the boys 4 month pictures. We had tried to have their pictures taken a few weekends ago at the Rose Garden but it was too hot and humid (for babes and adults!), so this morning we had their re-shoot at Christa's studio. Christa sent me one of the pictures to hold me over while she edits the rest and of course I absolutely love it! We have been so blessed to have found such a great newborn photographer and to have one of my best friends, Kara, to take such amazing pictures of the boys over the past few months. We are definitely going to miss them both and hope that we can find someone in Atlanta that can compete with their talents!

Georgia Bound
Jared accepted a transfer within his company to move from Raleigh to Atlanta!
We are both saddened and excited by the move, as we have made some amazing friends here in North Carolina and had been showered with God's love as we experienced joys and sorrows throughout our two and a half years. It's hard to reflect back on to think of all of the blessings that we have received and the steps that took us to North Carolina and to the best neurosurgeon in the nation and awesome church community. God truly does order our steps and if we choose to follow Him He is sure to not disappoint!
Throughout the craziness of packing, cleaning, and preparing for our move I couldn't help but think of one of my favorite poems "Footprints in the Sand". The excerpt, My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you during your times of trials and suffering. When you see only one set of footprints in the sand it was then that I was carrying you." speaks near and dear to my heart as it references God's immeasurable love for us. I feel as if He has truly carried both Jared and I through some tough times and has rejoiced with us as we received a "double blessing" this spring. We have definitely experienced an intense season of life in North Carolina and I cannot wait to see what our next season brings!
Here is one of our helpers packing boxes...
It has definitely been crazy trying to pack up a house and take care of two little munchkins, but my mom was in town this past weekend and was a huge help! Here is just a glimpse at what she and I accomplished!
We have definitely gotten a lot done but there is still so much more to do...so I'm off to pack up some more boxes while those sweet babies sleep!

Roly Poly and Phone Conversations
Carter rolled over for the first time yesterday! It caught him by surprise though and he instantly started to whimper a little bit but he realized he was okay and that mom was there to help roll him back over. It was such a strange feeling to not be able to swaddle him up for his bedtime since it'd be dangerous now and I honestly thought that he would not sleep well at all. But as boys like to do, he proved me wrong and slept until 5 this morning! Way to go Carter Bug!!!
Here are some cute pictures from our adventures this morning...
How many things can I fit in my mouth? (Coleman)
Carter there's someone on the phone for you...
Oh, thanks Coleman!

Doctor visits for Mom and the boys
Yesterday I felt as if I had been hit by a truck. I woke up early not feeling well but there was no slowing down, as we were scheduled to have the boys 4 month pictures taken at 7:30am outside at the rose garden. Unfortunately, the humidity and sunlight proved to be too much of a challenge for our photographer and for the boys so we had to reschedule an indoor shoot. I came home and took a nap only to wake up feeling worse and realize that I was running a high fever. So the boys and I snuggled and watched tv...they're sweet snugs made me feel a little better.
This morning I woke up and still didn't feel well...I had suspected that I had mastitis based on my symptoms and scheduled an appointment with my obgyn just to make sure and indeed it was, so hopefully the antibiotics will have me up and at 'em in no time. Slowing down a mom is hard work, but slowing down a mom of twins is even harder!
This afternoon the boys had their appointment with the doctor for their four month well visit and shots. They did great! I couldn't resist taking this sweet picture of Coleman and his Daddy as we waited (over an hour!) on the doctor. Coleman weighs 12.2lbs and Carter weighs 11.13lbs and they are both 24 and 1/4 inches tall! Our pediatrician couldn't have been happier with the progress that they have made and how healthy they both are and have been. Way to go C and C!

Lovey and Big Poppa
Lovey and Big Poppa came to visit us this week and we have had a great time with them! The boys had a lot of fun and were all smiles as they played with their grandparents, and of course they told them a few "stories" as they chatted away on their mats and in their bouncers. I can't wait for the day that those sweet chubby cheeks have real words coming out of them but for right now I'll definitely settle for the sweet coo's and squeals!
It was so nice to have an extra hand to help feed the boys instead of putting them in their Boppy's, and Jared's mom did a great job of helping keep them on their schedule and doing their "stations". Hopefully we didn't wear her out too much! Here are some sweet pictures from their visit. We can't wait until they visit us again soon!

Great News!
Hi friends! I wanted to let you know that Jared finally heard back from Duke today about his scan and there was no growth! Not that we expected to hear anything differently, but what a blessing it is to hear such wonderful news! We continue to rejoice at the miraculous ways in which God has touched our lives over the past year and are just so incredibly thankful for His love and your prayers and friendship. We are so thankful to have such an amazing Daddy and husband!!
Jared will have his next scan in three months and we continue to pray that there is no growth and ask that you continue this prayer along with us.
Thank you again for your love and faith! May this find each of you enjoying a wonderful (but not too hot) summer day!

Our First Babysitters
Emily and Mike are our good friends and neighbors and volunteered to come down to watch the boys after they went to sleep on Monday night so that Jared and I could go out to dinner to celebrate my birthday. They are our first babysitters that aren't family, and I knew the boys were in good hands! As you can tell, Emily is expecting a sweet baby girl this month that I'm sure will be one of the boys best friends. :o)
Photo Shoot
We have our four month pictures next weekend and I had bought these cute bear hats for their newborn pictures only to find out that they were HUGE on them at the time, so this morning we decided to have our own photo shoot to see if they would work for our four month. They were so cute that I couldn't resist sharing them. :o)
After our pictures we headed off to our normal routine of playing on the mats, bouncers, etc. until our nap.
