Sweet Home Alabama

We had SO much fun as a family this weekend during a much needed vacation. It was supposed to be our alumni weekend for UAB soccer as well as a 2nd birthday party for Anna's sweet little guy, William. I supposed to be because the game was canceled due to all of the rain they had this week and the field condition but aside from the game all of the other alumni events went on as planned. I really don't think we could've fit anything else into this jam packed weekend but the fun we had and the memories that we made were priceless and worth the exhaustion that all four of us are feeling today.

We stayed with Jessica, Dave, and Eva-Rose who is just a few months older than the munchkins. Jessica and I used to be roommates in college....how the times have changed now that we have kiddos of our own! The boys LOVED Eva-Rose and playing with all of her toys...

Friday night we had an alumni get together and were able to meet the new coach and then have some fun with the alumni...Here is a picture of my girls that have been my best friends for 13 years!...LOVE and miss them each so much!

Saturday morning we headed over to William's birthday party at the barn. Coleman and Carter had a blast and so did we! I still can't believe that sweet little guy is now a 2 year old! At the barn there were animals running loose everywhere and the boys had so much fun laughing at them and petting each of them. Coleman REALLY loved the horses and wanted them to come to him.

After the party we headed to lunch to see some of the girls...

Then it was off to the new railroad park in Birmingham with the girls and Miss Eva-Rose. The park was awesome and I wish that we could go there every weekend!

After the park it was a quick nap for the boys and then off to Coach Harbin's house for some fun with everyone...

The boys did great throughout all of the events and new people and places that they visited but we could tell by Sunday morning that they had had their fair share of being off their schedules and were ready to get back into their own beds. I am so glad they had the chance to meet all of their other "Mommies" this weekend though! I know that I am blessed to have such an amazing group of women to call my best friends and to see all of their families and each of them meant so much to me. Can't wait for our next trip back to Birmingham!
