Let's Go Falcons!

My brother was sick this weekend and offered Jared and I his tickets (you know he's sick when he can't go to a football game!), so we decided to take Coleman and Carter along to see the Falcons play. They had not yet been to a professional game of any sort...although I did go to a game with my Dad when I was pregnant with them.

I have to admit...I was a little nervous as to how they would do but they did GREAT!! They were up and down and all around at the game, but they stayed within their little two foot radius and didn't bother anyone around them (that I know of!). Coleman loved when everyone would clap and he could join in, and especially when the music would come on after a big play...he has some serious rythm! Carter tried to reach the banner hung underneath our section and pull it up...never a dull moment with these two! They ate popcorn, clapped, and had a great time up until the 4th quarter when they decided they had both had enough. It was off to the Varsity for a yummy hotdog before heading back home. What a great family fun day!

I think it's safe to say they had a lot of fun too!

Santa

Okay, so I realize that it isn't even Thanksgiving yet and we have already made our trip to see Santa, but he is a busy man this time of year and so are Mommy and Daddy! Also, it doesn't help the fact that you have to start making your reservation for Santa at Phipps in July! It is totally worth the early visit and the reservation to see this Santa and not to wait in line though...he is simply amazing and has such a kind spirit about him. The boys however, did not seem to notice that sweetness about him this year...

Here are Coleman and Carter last year at Santa...

And this year...

I seriously LOVE it! It was not what I had expected to happen at all, so it's both pitiful and hilarious at the same time but definitely a memory I will share with them when they get older!

As soon as we picked them up off of his lap they stopped crying and blew him kisses...I guess they remembered that naughty or nice list!

Dare Devil

Coleman and Carter are ALL.BOY. They love to get muddy, play with Jared's tools, sort rocks, climb on anything and EVERYTHING, and play in Nestle's bowls. Needless to say, when it comes to playing outside and riding on toys they are all about speeeeeeed! Jared and I decided it was time for bike helmets to help keep them safe...here's a video of Carter movin' and groovin'

Silly Boys!

Here's a silly video of the munchkins:

Who needs child locks?

Some days I want to call up the inventors of all the child safety or non-spillable, non-openable, etc. products and ask if they would like to use the boys as test models. These two can figure out ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! Carter's latest and greatest talent is to unhook all of the cabinet locks in our kitchen...his favorite is the kitchen island where we keep our canned goods. Before tying the handles together with ribbon I let Coleman and Carter just play and play with the cans, build towers, etc. We watched out for teeny tiny toes to not have cans fall on them...hopefully they won't learn how to untie knots anytime soon...

Spoons and Grits

It's hard to believe that this time last year I was loading up the boys spoons with jarred baby food and now they are feeding themselves grits! It can be a little messy but they love it!

My Chefs

I'm not one of these people who loves to cook but I do love to make (and eat!) desserts and the other day I had the boys help me make some. They LOVED watching the kitchenaid spin and helping to measure out the ingredients.

But cooking makes you hungry...

Coleman wanted to try on the oven mitt...still a little too big..

Best Buds

It is beyond amazing to watch the bond between Coleman and Carter. They are so different and so independent, but when it comes to their brother they have such a sweetness about them that is beyond smile inducing. Yes, I've seen the youtube video of the twins talking, and yes, the boys do that also. Sweeter than that though is to listen to them play peek a boo in their cribs and laugh with a deep belly laugh at one another, or to watch their eyes light up when their brother wakes up from a nap and the other is up. They are only 19 months old but I think their friendship and love is forever.

Our Little Fall Explorers

Daddy's Helpers

The boys get into EVERYTHING lately and we find ourselves babyproofing higher and higher every weekend. Last weekend Jared and I decided it was time to put child locks on the silverware drawers, etc. Coleman and Carter also thought they should "help" Daddy....too cute!

Halloween Fun

The night before Halloween we went to a festival at my parents neighborhood with my brother's family. We had a great time and enjoyed visiting another pumpkin patch afterwards.

Boo! ....at the zoo

We have gotten a lot of use out of the season pass to the zoo that we bought the boys for their birthday, and it is amazing how much more they enjoy the animals and are able to spot them than they could 6 months ago.

The weekend of Halloween they have Boo at the Zoo, but knowing it may be super crowded I decided to take the munchkins the week of while other kiddos were in school. My mom, brother, sister in law, and sweet nephew joined in the fun!
